Alan Kanter

Group President

Alan has been a member of the Syratech Corporation since its inception in 1986. With over 25 years of experience in the tabletop and home decor industry Alan has served in a variety of positions during his career with Syratech, most recently as the executive vice president of sales, global sourcing and product marketing. As part of the executive team, Alan is instrumental in helping to lead Syratech's continued growth as an industry leader in the tabletop, housewares and home decor industries.

Scott N. Bial

Divisional President of Wallace Silversmiths, Towle Silversmiths, International Silver Company, Cuisinart, Kenneth Cole, Sabatier, Retroneu, Faberware & Hoffritz

A seasoned industry professional, Scott has worked in the tabletop business for over two decades, dating back to the original Raymond Silver Company in Chelsea, Massachusetts. Scott has held a variety of positions during his career with Syratech, including vice president of sales for Towle Silversmiths, vice president of sales for Supreme Cutlery and most recently general manager of Syratech's entire Metals Division. As the general manager of the Metals Division, Scott is responsible for product development, managing and growing sales, developing and implementing brand strategies and creating strong brand identities at retail. In addition to sales expertise, Scott has over 20 years experience in overseas product development and purchasing which has proven invaluable as Syratech continues its growth as a global organization

Rafael Calderon

Divisional President - Home Decor

Rafael has been a part of the Syratech Corporation in some capacity for the better part of his career, beginning his career here some 10 years ago as the assistant to the CFO. Identified as a promising young talent, Rafael was promoted to manager of CJ Vander in Europe, giving him his first taste of international business. This experience would serve him well in his next position as director of Hallmark cards where he worked on sourcing and manufacturing in the Far East. After taking a brief hiatus to earn an MBA from Harvard Business School, Rafael returned to Syratech as the general manager of our Elements,Towle Crystal and Topic brands. As general manager, Rafael is responsible for product development, managing and growing sales, developing and implementing brand strategies and creating strong brand identities.

Barry Gordon

Divisional President - Melannco

Barry founded Melannco International in 1984, naming the photo storage company after his father, Mel, and his mother, Ann. Acquired by the Syratech Corporation in 1992, Melannco was the first company to bring to market the concept of photo albums that also serve as decorative storage units, forever changing the industry's offerings. As general manager of Melannco International Ltd., Barry is responsible for the overall management and sales activity of the division. Prior to joining Syratech, Barry worked for Burnes of Boston, overseeing the sales and marketing of the frame company.
